Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers out there. This morning we went to a little joint on Hastings and Sperling in Burnaby. The best part about this place was there was no line to be seated today, so we where able to walk right in.
As we were being seated the hostess let us know that there will be a little wait for the food because the kitchen is a little behind. It was nice that they let us know before we were wondering where our food was.
In total there was 12 tables, 2 waitresses, and a fountain coming out of the wall. The decor was very Roman with pieces of art on the walls inspired by Greek mythology.
To drink we ordered Orange Juice, a Caramel Machiatto, a London Fog, and a coffee. When you ask for milk with the coffee, it comes frothed… My son says it is a ‘Game Changer’ it is such a nice touch to the coffee. My wife said that this is the sweetest London Fog that she has had by far. The only sad part was that the orange juice was not freshly squeezed, it was just out of a carton.
As for the food we ordered a classic Benny, the Standard breakfast with ham, the Standard breakfast with sausage, and a Greek omelet.
It was nice to see that this place was very busy, there was a lot of people coming and going. There was a lot of families here, it’s nice to see people bringing their fathers for Father’s Day.
Everything was absolutely delicious and this would be on my list to visit again in the future.
