On our way home from Vancouver, we decided to change things up and go off the beaten path we stopped in Chilliwack for a beverage and some breakfast. So off the highway we go and into downtown Chilliwack. Next stop Decades Coffee Club.

The Interior

The interior of this place is huge with very high ceilings. There is a big staircase leading to a balcony that overlooks the whole shop.

There were items in the shop that were made by local artists that can be purchased in store. It’s always great to see that businesses support local talent.

There is lots of mismatched furniture in Decades gives it a vintage look so naturally.

Decades also has multiple rooms for you to host gatherings such as book clubs, crafting and meetings of all types etc. They are really making this a community space that people want to go to and be in.

The Drinks

On this day, we tried the Green Tea Cherry Cardamom which was their seasonal London Fog. We also ordered a regular London Fog and a Vanilla Latte.

Both teas were really good, but the vanilla latte was just mediocre at best. They had one of those automatic machines. I guess this way they don’t really have to hire an experienced barista. I have never had a great beverage out of one of these machines. Drinks always seem to be watered down and lack flavor. Crappy thing is we really couldn’t take it back as we got everything to go and were already on the highway when I started to drink it.

Decades uses Agro Coffee, which is a locally owned and operated, certified organic coffee roaster out of Vancouver.

Overall, I felt the drinks were reasonably priced.IMG_4109

The Food

We arrived shortly after they opened, so baked goods were coming out of the oven, still warm and looking so delicious. We grabbed a Cranberry Bran Muffin and an Apple Cranberry Oat Muffin.

Everything is made in house. All the food looked really good but I really felt that fthe ood menu is on the pricier side as well.

The Service

The service was fantastic. The ladies working there were very polite and friendly.

The Hours

Monday to Friday they are open 8:00 am – 9:00 pm. On Saturday’s they are open 9:00 am – 9:00 pm. Every Sunday they are closed.

Parking

There is a parking lot right out front as well as some street parking. The good news is I finally didn’t have to pay for parking.

Last Words

I really like the sense of community that Decades has put together here. Lots of space to host gatherings. Local artists selling their goods.

If you are looking for a place to grab a coffee, some delicious baked goods, and you find yourself in Chilliwack, check out Decades Coffee Club.
