Since we were out and about we decided to try a new pizza joint in the Northwest just by the Foothills Hospital. I feel like this location has been here forever and you can tell by the other guests that we seen. There was a lot of regulars who were coming in. We also found out that since you have to pay for parking everywhere there, since you are visiting their establishment they verify your parking and you don’t have to pay, which is an added bonus.
The Interior
The interior was stuck in the eighties, the whole location is carpeted and there is roughly 16 tables and is open with all giant windows around the outside. The windows really allowed a lot of natural light into the restaurant.
The Food
To start we ordered the Warm Feta and Spinach Dip for $12.00 and it tasted like spinach and artichoke dip, we were just sad that it was not hotter. There was a lot of dip and not enough chips to eat all the dip.
My daughter ordered a half baked spaghetti for $12.00 and it was a ton of food. I would be scared to see the full order of spaghetti. It had really good flavour, the meat sauce was good and it was hot.
My wife and I ordered a Pepperoni, Green Pepper, Bacon, and Onion pizza for $23.00 and it was delicious. It was a nice medium crust with a great sauce. The overall pizza was absolutely great.
The Service
The service was great, we were one of the few people in the location. It was not busy when we got there, there was more people showing up when we received our food. We received the food quickly after we ordered which was nice.
The Hours
Monday to Friday: 9:00 am to 10:00 pm
Saturday: 11:00 am to 10:00 pm
Sunday and Holidays: Closed
Parking
There is a parking lot, but since it is across the street from the Hospital you have to pay for parking. Thankfully if you visit Gus’s then you don’t have to pay and they will verify your parking so that you don’t get ticketed or anything.
Last Words
It was a great experience and the food was delicious. We will definitely be heading back there for pizza again in the future.
