This little shop is located in downtown Calgary on 6th Ave and if you are not looking for it, you will drive right by. Their menu is 98% vegan friendly and everything is made to order.
The Interior
This little shop has a bar top with eight chairs and a four table at the front. Most of this location is the kitchen and you can watch them make your food as you wait. Veg-In YYC does a lot of grab and go food that would cater to the busy people working in downtown Calgary.
The Food
My son ordered the Mistaken Identity Bowl for $13.50 which was very delicious. The bowl included Masala Jackfruit, Vegan Chorizo, Beets and Corn Chips, it was all served on quinoa, fresh veggies, protein and a balsamic sauce.
My wife and son also shared a slice of Pistachio Lemon Raw Cake, which is the name they use for unbaked cheesecake, it was $4.95. This cake is Gluten Free, Soy Free, and is refined sugar feee. It had amazing flavour and my wife says that she would go and get it again in the future.
He said it was very delicious and that he would definitely go back and try some of their other menu items in the future.
Service
The staff was very friendly and accommodating for how close to their closing time we showed up. They were very helpful with the questions my son was asking and he stated that they would make sure that everything was exactly how he ordered it.
The Hours
Sunday and Monday – Closed
Tuesday to Saturday – 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
Parking
Parking is very limited, they have a couple spots out front that were taken when we arrived. So we had to drive around the block a couple times.
Last Words
