This is another one of those shops that if you don’t know where to look, you won’t be able to find it. It is located just off a residential street and it was really busy while we were there. It seemed like a bunch of regulars were coming because everyone knew everyone.
The Interior
You enter at the one side and immediately there is the bar with all their machines and to the right there is a shelf with t-shirts for sale. There is paintings up on all the walls as well as mirrors. There is one wall made of scrap mouldings which was really cool and creative. Near the other side of the shop there is a bunch of seating with comfy couches and tables. When you exit the far door you come to a really big patio that was full of a bunch of people.
The Drinks
After reading through all the different items on their menu, there is quite a few, we decided to try a couple different things.
I ordered a Latte for $4.75 and it was made with Rooftop Espresso. It was really delightful and super smooth.
My wife ordered a London Fog for $4.50 thinking it would be like the London Fog she just had at Sparrow. This one was made from a tea bag and it wasn’t as good as she thought it would be.
My daughter ordered a Watermelon Lemonade for $4.50 and it was really good. It had a nice subtle watermelon flavour which was really nice. It also had a really great colour from the watermelon and lemonade mixing together.
The Service
The staff were friendly and knowledgable of their products. We did find it weird that they were already sold out of some products and drinks and they had only been open for an hour. Maybe it was really busy for their first hour, who knows.
The Hours
Monday to Friday – 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Saturday – 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Sunday and Holidays – 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Parking
There was parking on the residential streets as well as beside the cafe. Since it was located in residential it was all free parking.
Last Words
We would check this place out again because it was nice feeling like we were a part of the Friends cast, oh wait that was Central Perk.
