This hot chocolate tastes exactly like a turtle brownie, the combination of chocolate and caramel is absolutely delicious. The flavours go together very well, they have always had a delicious hot chocolate for the festival.

The only comment we had is that we don’t like the floating chunks in the drink, so it would be nice to have a spoon given so that we can eat the pieces on the whip before they get into the drink. When reading the description it says that you would get candied pecans on top and on the hot chocolate we received it had walnuts on the top.

Ardent Ganache Chocsicle

“Mint tea flavoured pot liquor served with chilli infused chocolate ganache popsicle garnished with dehydrated chocolate mousse and dried rose petals.”

The dehydrated mousse with rose petals was so light and packed a big flavour punch. This is a drink that you would share with someone because it is very thick and filling. When you take a drink you can taste the chocolate with a light hint of chili and the cooling sensation from the mint at the end.

If you are heading here, take a friend that you can split the drink with because it is very filling for one person, also the staff is super friendly. All their pastry and bakery items looked amazing. I believe we will be going back there to get some tasty treats in the future.

Meteor Hot Chocolate

“A fire-roasted marshmallow meteor rips into the upper atmosphere leaving a fiery trail of whipped cream to land on perfectly steamed chocolate milk.”

Take a trip into the stars with me for a minute. Imagine you are floating along in the International Space Station and you say that you would like a hot chocolate. This is what you would think to drink as you sit and watch the world spin by.

This hot chocolate was super fun and creative as well as super delicious. The meteor marshmallow was toasted perfectly and attached to a strawberry pocky. The whip was homemade and really good as well as the chocolate drizzle made it look like the galaxies. The flavour of the hot chocolate was good, even for steamed hot chocolate. This will be a kid friendly one for sure.

Pina Chocolata

“Our take on a hot chocolate Pina Colada! Inspired by one of our staffs way to flirt with her favourite cocktail, something to keep her warm while thinking of the beach.”

Unfortunately, there is not much good about this drink. It doesn’t taste anything like a pina colada, we think the drink needs more work. Watching the guy make the drink, he used pineapple juice, coconut cream, chocolate and cinnamon. It just seems like a weird combination.

When you drink this hot chocolate you get a bitter tart and sour flavour. Unfortunately the whip wasn’t working so we didn’t get any, but to be honest, we don’t think the whip would have helped. We also don’t think that the addition of white rum would make it better either.

Overall this is not a very good drink, from flavour to mouth feel, we really hope we just got an off one, but we don’t know. How can one be so good and the other be so bad?

Chai’m Dreaming

“Decadent macadamia nut chai hot chocolate with an optional spicy kick! We dreamed up our spiced creation by blending all of our staff faves!”

This drink smelled amazing, it smelled exactly like chai. Upon first sip, we burnt our tongue because the drink was really hot. Although we did seem to find that the chocolate and chai seemed to be competing flavours, so it made it a little strange. But it still worked.

The chai was really good and had some spice which helped with the chocolate flavour. This one was really good.

Cristalli

“A modern, elegant, innovative hot chocolate that every foodie will fall in love with. Cristalli is not only beautiful, the taste is delicious, different, surprising. Made with real, melted chocolate, Cristalli is sweetened with a thick balsamic-brown sugar syrup that our team creates in store. Topped with a fluffy whipped cream, the name of the drink is given by the main decoration : the balsamic candied crystals on top of the cream. Stir all the ingredients together, watch the balsamic crystals melt into the warmness of the chocolate and enjoy a unique tingly, sweet, chocolatey taste. Classy, sassy, very Italian.”

We were very excited to try this creation because we were hoping that upon first sip you would be hit in the face with the balsamic flavour, unfortunately we didn’t get any throughout the whole drink. The crystal garnishes were very delicious and crunchy, they had a great brown sugar flavour.

The chocolate was very creamy and thick which was amazing, the whip had great flavour as well. Like we said we do wish that we could have had more balsamic flavour.

Cookies & Cream

We headed there early this morning to grab one before work and they didn’t disappoint. The drink was very hot and tasted just like an Oreo, or at least what a liquified Oreo would taste like. It was not sweet even though you would think it would be since it is made with white chocolate.

The only part that was not the best was with the last few sips there was cookie crumble chunks that didn’t soften and made it hard to swallow. As we have said before we are not fans of chunks in our drinks. We were also a little sad at the presentation, in the past Rosso has really had beautiful presentation, and sad to say this drink lacked some finesse.

Tatooine Hot Chocolate

“Our talented baristas travelled far far away into outer space to the planet of Tatooine in the Star Wars galaxy to bring you a special drink for this year’s hot chocolate fest. Inspired by Bantha Milk, with the power of the force, we introduce to you our “Tatooine Hot Chocolate”. White Chocolate melted to order blended with blue spirulina and lavender, fresh steamed coconut and gf oat milk, topped with a dusting of the light side and dark side. This sweet exotic drink is sure to please in this cold winter.”

Although this hot chocolate sounds like it would be sweet, it is surprisingly not, it has the perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess. We think it really helps that the combination of the oat milk and coconut milk really balances this drink.

The hot chocolate is indeed blue and you can taste the lavender which is not over done, this is always a bonus, too much lavender and it tastes like soap. The Euphoria team really thought this drink out and made it taste delicious.

Say Cheeese…cake, Raspberry Cheesecake!

We knew that this hot chocolate was going to be delicious and trust me when we say that it did not disappoint in any sense of the word. With every sip you get the full taste of a Raspberry Cheesecake, it is amazing!

The drink is smooth and creamy with the exact amount of flavour throughout the whole drink. The addition of freeze-dried raspberries is amazing, because as you drink down they slowly get a little rehydrated and by the end you have soft raspberries. A great tart addition to the drink for sure.

We can already tell you, we will be heading back there near the end of the month to get another one of these delicious Raspberry Cheesecake Hot Chocolates!
